The Burned-In Teacher Podcast is all about going from burned-out educator to BURNED-IN human. On this show, I interview teachers who are or have gone through burnout and they share with us what they are doing or have done in the past to beat it. I also interview experts in the field of teacher burnout, education, productivity, happiness, and basically all things BURN IN. There will also be episodes where I share my own experiences and answer questions from listeners and Burned-In Teacher Community Members.

In this episode, I answer a question submitted through Ask BIT: “What do I do when all I want to do is run away from all the demands?” To answer this question, while also focusing on managing stress and mental health, I address both the why and what behind that innate need to “run away” - so to speak - when extreme feelings of overwhelm hit during the moments when there is just so much demanding your time, energy, and attention all at once. I share several “quick fixes” that I use when I need a re-set, as well as a protocol that I practice to determine my highest priority tasks when I feel my to-do list is getting to be too much. Tune into this episode and learn what you can do to not only take control of your to-do list but also effectively manage stress and prioritize your mental well-being. By implementing these strategies, you can grow through your burnout and live a happier, more fulfilled life.
